Police release photos of Richland bank robbery suspects

Tri-City HeraldJanuary 28, 2014

— Police released photos Tuesday of suspects who robbed a Richland bank at gunpoint last week.

Three people robbed the Numerica Credit Union on Jan. 24 and pulled a pistol on employees, police said. They left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Surveillance footage from bank shows two of the suspects -- wearing dark clothes and masks -- during the robbery.

The group was last seen leaving the bank on foot, police said. Police used a dog to track the suspects, who were able to get away.

Investigators have not matched the disguises worn by the suspects to any other bank robberies in the country, Capt. Mike Cobb said. Police have given details of the robbery to the F.B.I.

“It looks like one of (the suspects) wore a T-shirt over a sweatshirt,” Cobb said. “Our best bet to finding them is that logo.”

Cobb would not discuss details of the robbery or how long the suspects were inside the bank.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Richland police at 509-628-0333.
