Suspect sought in Yakima area shooting

A Yakima man was killed Saturday near Harrah after a shooting at a private residence on Harrah Road near Yakima, the Yakima County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Deputies were called to the scene at about 1:30 p.m. after 911 calls reported that several gunshots were fired into a home and three suspects had fled the scene.

A 32-year-old unnamed man was killed, authorties said. A description of the vehicle the suspects arrived in was relayed to law enforcement.

A responding Yakama Nation police officer spotted a vehicle matching the description the assailants fled in and pursued the car with sheriff deputies. The suspects fled their car near Wapato and two of the suspects were apprehended by police. The third remained at large Sunday.

Luis Alberto Anguiano, 25, of Selah, and Martin Alvarez, 18, of Yakima were booked into the Yakima County jail on alleged murder charges. The third suspect, 17-year-old Carlos Johnathancq of Yakima has not been found.

The gunshot victim died at the scene. One adult female and two small children were also in the home at the time of the shooting but were not injured, police reported.
