Girls basketball: Hanford's Gall scores career-high 30

Colette Gall is often called “Coco,” but she was hot chocolate for Hanford against visiting Richland High on Friday, pouring in a career-high 30 points to lead the Falcons to a Mid-Columbia Conference victory.

Sydney Shintaffer added 17 points and Ashley Stewart 12 points and 10 rebounds for Hanford.

Kayla Catone scored 12 of her 20 points in the fourth quarter as Richland dumped 30 on the Falcons in the period. Kennedy Corrigan added 17 points and Hailey Turner 15 plus 10 rebounds while playing against Gall in the post.

“There was a lot of moving, a lot of running, bodies everywhere,” said Hanford coach Evan Woodward. “It was a good game.”

WALLA WALLA 67, PASCO 42: Madi Doepker scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Mikayla Ferenz added 15 points and nine boards, as the visiting Blue Devils beat the Bulldgos in an MCC girls game.

Annabel Perez and Jay Martinez led Pasco with 12 points each.
