Chiawana football team to be honored in Olympia

State lawmakers will recognize Chiawana High School's football championship season Monday.

The Washington House of Representatives is expected to hear a resolution on the chamber floor naming the team and coach Steve Graff, along with other Chiawana and Pasco School District officials and congratulating the win in the Class 4A championship game in Tacoma in early December.

The honor comes during a state conference of school board members and administrators in Olympia. Graff and several other Chiawana High administrators will join Superintendent Saundra Hill, four Pasco School Board members and the board's student representatives in the capitol for the event.
