Letter: Christmas campaign brightens season for 625 Mid-Columbia families

January 22, 2014

The Salvation Army staff would like to whole heartedly thank everyone who has made our 2013 Christmas campaign possible. We want to thank our volunteers who showed up daily without fail to ensure a smooth distribution, our faithful sponsors and generous donors who year after year support our mission, all of the accommodating businesses that provided locations for our kettles, and all of the amazingly compassionate people who picked up a tag or more at our Angel Tree location.

We would also like to give special thanks to Three Rivers Medicine for its enormous contribution to our Christmas campaign. Without each and every one of you, we would not have been able to have had such a great turnout.

It is because of the awesome support of our kindhearted community that we were able to grant a memorable Christmas to 625 families who were experiencing economic hardship. In all, 1,172 children each received more than one gift. This is a tremendous and fantastic accomplishment that we have to share with our community as we continue collaboratively in our mission of "Doing The Most Good."
