Winners of the two ATHENA Awards were announced Wednesday during the Network Tri-Cities Luncheon at the TRAC facility in Pasco.
The international leadership awards were presented to women who demonstrate professional excellence and community service and who have actively assisted women to attain professional excellence and leadership skills.
One award, given to a young professional woman who's just starting out in business, went to Hollie Logan, marketing manager for Mackay & Sposito in Kennewick.
Introducing her, Kristen Fox, director of human resources for Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, said: "This woman sets a positive example for young women, not only as a mother of two young girls, but professionally as she mentors the young women who have sought her advice and counsel."
The second award for leadership went to Iris Anderson, financial operations manager at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
"She is frequently sought out for one-on-one career advice by women in ranges of job positions," said Dee Millikin, director of communication for CH2MHill Plateau Remediation.
"As a mentor, she has notably recognized great potential and provided opportunities for advancement for those she manages. She has also made a significant impact in the Battelle Job Shadow Program where she served as the original job shadow coordinator," Millikin said.
The awards luncheon was held in conjunction with the Tri-Cities Women in Business Conference presented by the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce.
