— Tools, building materials and even a television were stolen from three southeast Kennewick homes under construction.

Kennewick police were called Monday to the homes, two in the 1400 block of west 52nd Avenue and another in the 2300 block of west 49th Avenue, a release said.

Numerous hand tools were stolen from one of the homes on 52nd Avenue and authorities were told there had been problems with the garage door not operating properly. A neighboring house had its front door stolen along with a 20-gallon propane tank, several burners and a bucket of tools. The home on 49th Avenue had a recently-installed television stolen and its refrigerator was moved from the kitchen to the living room.

Police did find and photograph tire tracks found on the 49th Avenue property and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have seen unusual vehicle or people in the area over the weekend are encouraged to call police by contacting Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers at 586-8477, 1-800-222-8477 or by visiting www.tricitiescrimestoppers.org.
