Deadline to register for free cervical cancer talk Friday

A free presentation about cervical cancer is planned from noon to 1 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center in Kennewick.

Drs. Eric Gamboa and Sue Mandell will discuss causes and prevalence of the cancer, issues surrounding surgery, treatment options, prevention and survivorship. Gamboa is a medical oncologist and hematologist with Columbia Basin Hematology & Oncology, and Mandell is a radiation oncologist and medical director of the cancer center.

A free lunch will be provided with a reservation. To sign up, go to, under the Education tab and then "Events & Classes," or call 737-3427.
