The Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Kennewick is seeking more community members to become part of its board.

The goal is to have three new members in place during the next month.

"As our current board members assess each application for board membership, we will be looking for ethical, motivated and organized people who will strengthen and complement the board with skills like fundraising, grant writing, graphic arts, marketing and community relations, financial management and other leadership qualities," Executive Director Cynthia McCready said in a news release.

The nonprofit serves clients in Benton, Franklin, Walla Walla, Columbia, Yakima and Klickitat counties.
