Election letter -- Yes for school levies

January 20, 2014

What is important to you? As a person of faith I look to the scriptures to find what it teaches us about the care and nurture of our own children and our neighbor's children. It tells us what is most dear to our hearts is what we focus our minds upon. It calls us to determine what is truly important and how that is aligned with our actions and our values.

We live in a community of talented and hardworking people. It is clear our residents value freedom, independence, faith, family ties, honest work, education, well being and community.

The many opportunities that public education offers every child is something to be nurtured and valued. It contributes to what we hold dear. It can be the springboard to develop thoughtful minds and bright futures. It is an investment that pays off well into the future.

Please focus attention on the upcoming school levies across the Mid-Columbia and Lower Valley. Let your heart lead you. Join me and vote yes before Feb. 10.
