New positions

-- Kelli Raines has been promoted from communications coordinator to communications manager of the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce. Responsibilities include developing and executing chamber publications and communications to provide information to members and the community and managing and strengthening several chamber activities and current communications.


-- The Home Builders Association of Tri-Cities recently installed new board members: Brett Lott of Lott's Better Built Homes was installed as president; Jennifer Kelly of J & J Kelly Construction as vice president; and Joel Tanasse of Fred's Appliance as secretary treasurer.

Gretchen Beck of Wells Fargo, Matt Mahany of Soft Water Specialist and Lee Wetherell of Culligan Water also were installed as board members.

The association also presented to the 2013 Associate Appreciate Award to Matt Price of McCurley Business Elite for his "oustanding commitment to recruiting and retaining members of the HBA and his incredible donations to our events and activities," according to a news release.


-- The Walla Walla and Pendleton Walmart stores have donated a total of $500 to the Mid-Columbia Tri-Cities SCORE Chapter to help facilitate and execute the chapter's mission to provide tools and resources to support small-business growth in the area.
