A rollover crash Saturday on Interstate 82 sent two Richland people to a local hospital.

The crash happened at 11:15 a.m. just east of the bypass interchange in Benton County, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A 49-year-old woman driving a Toyota Avalon hit a Chevy Tahoe while changing lanes, the state patrol said. The Tahoe went off the road and rolled several times.

The driver of the Tahoe, Cody Clements, 15, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, the state patrol said. A passenger in the SUV, Mary Clements, 53, was also taken to Kadlec.

Their conditions were not immediately available.

The driver of the Avalon was cited for failing to yield, state patrol said. She and a passenger were not injured.
