Richland to offer special trash collection Monday

Tri-City HeraldJanuary 18, 2014

Richland is offering a special collection of excess bagged garbage along with the normal emptying of gray cans on routes Monday to make up for interrupted service the week before.

Many residents weren't able to put out their trash or recycle cans at the curb on Jan. 13 because of high winds, and "waste crews also battled the wind while attempting to empty containers safely and securely," a city news release said.

Residents with full recycling containers who can't wait until the next recycling collection should call 942-7700 to schedule a service with the solid waste office, the news release said.
