Pasco teen injured in crash

January 17, 2014

A Pasco teen was injured Friday morning when her car slid on icy roads near Road 68, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Shelby Fuston, 17, was driving west, merging onto Interstate 182 from Road 68 just after 7 a.m. when she lost control of her 1996 Dodge Neon and hit a concrete barrier on the freeway.

She was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco and was treated and later released. Her passenger, Kelvin Fuston, 17, also of Pasco, was not injured.

Driving too fast for weather conditions is the cause of the crash, the WSP reported.
