Boys basketball: Taylor's 20 leads Connell past Kiona-Benton

Gage Taylor scored 20 points to lead all scorers as the Connell boys basketball team overpowered Kiona-Benton 46-34 in an SCAC East showdown in Connell.

“They overmatched us with their size down low with Taylor,” Ki-Be coach Dennis Janikowski said. “We moved the ball around, but we didn’t shoot as well as we would have liked. It was a tough game on the road.”

Juan Garcia led the Bears with 19 points.

The Coyotes entered the fourth quarter trailing by a point, but outscored the Cougars 17-8 to clinch the victory.
