Wrestling: Overholt leads Southridge duals

January 11, 2014

Bryce Overholt posted a trio of first-period pins at 182 pounds as the Southridge Suns went 1-2 in a nonleague tri-dual with Rogers of Spokane, Wenatchee and Sunnyside on Saturday.

The Suns beat Rogers 44-26 but came up short against the Panthers (37-36) and Grizzlies (40-36).

Trenton Nett (132), Marcus Surita (220) and Luke Davidson (285) also won all three of their matches. Like Overholt, Davidson had short day on the mat, with none of his matches going past the second round and one ending in 28 seconds. Surita won with a pair of pins and a technical fall.
