High wind to blame for semi rollover on Highway 12

January 10, 2014

High winds caused a semi tractor-trailer to tip over as it rounded a curve early Friday morning, the Washington State Patrol reported.

The 64-year-old driver, Richard M. Ellsworth of Bakersfield, Calif., was taken to Dayton General Hospital with unknown injuries.

The WSP reported that Ellsworth's 2013 Freightliner semi was westbound on Highway 12 near milepost 383 when it rounded a curve in the road and winds caused the vehicle to roll onto its side.
