UPDATE: Possible snow, then wind in Tri-City forecast

January 8, 2014

— Snow or rain is possible in the Tri-Cities Thursday and Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.

The day may be breezy with gusts as high as 29 mph.

More precipitation is forecast for Friday and possibly Saturday, but warmer weather means it should fall as rain.

A windy weekend is predicted.

The weather service is keeping its eye on a strong storm system expected to make its way across the Pacific Northwest Friday night and Saturday.

It could bring strong winds late Friday evening with breezy or windy weather continuing in the Tri-Cities into Monday.
