Columbia Basin College hires new volleyball coach: Hired Sandra Olin as its new volleyball coach, the school announced in a release Tuesday.

Olin, who was an assistant for the Hawks the last two seasons, takes over for Mike Baker, who resigned following the 2013 season.

Olin played collegiately at Mt. Hood Community College and the University of Portland. She was an assistant coach for six yeas at Mt. Hood, helping the Saints to an NWAACC championship and four top-five finishes. Since moving to the Tri-Cities, she has coached Liberty Christian High School and the Strike Force Volleyball Club.
