Dayton woman dies in crash near Waitsburg

— A Dayton woman died Friday when her pickup rolled down an embankment on Highway 124 at Bolles Road four miles west of Waitsburg.

Lenora Richards, 79, was driving west at 5:18 p.m. when she hit a guardrail, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Her pickup jumped the guardrail at a bridge and rolled about 15 feet down the embankment, coming to rest on its top.

She was wearing her seatbelt, but died before she could be taken to a hospital, according to the state patrol.
