— The body of an unidentified woman was found Friday down an embankment near a Walla Walla County intersection.

The name of the woman, described as being Hispanic and about 20 to 30 years old, was not released Friday by the Walla Walla Sheriff’s Department. An autopsy is scheduled for this morning.

Investigators have not said how the woman died but no arrests have been made.

A man came into the Walla Walla Police Department on Friday and reported seeing the body near Mojonnier and Beet roads, said Sheriff John Turner.

The sheriff’s office, along with Walla Walla police and Washington State Patrol detectives, are investigating.
