Young artists scheduled to compete in Richland

The Young Artists Competition will be Jan. 11 in the auditorium at Chief Joseph Middle School in Richland.

Student musicians will perform in strings, piano and voice categories from 1 to 6 p.m. There is no admission cost for the event.

There will be cash prizes awarded in each category, and the overall winners in the senior and junior divisions will perform with the Mid-Columbia Symphony at its spring concert.
