Art Rasch removes Christmas lights from a tree on Thursday in front of his Kennewick home. Rasch says the lights go up before Thanksgiving each year and that they come down around the New Year, weather permitting. "It’s more fun putting them up than taking them down," he said. Expect mostly sunny conditions on Friday with a high near 42, according to the National Weather Service. January weather in the Tri-Cities is expected to be near the average of 41.5 degrees after an unusually cold December. KAI-HUEI YAU — Tri-City Herald Buy Photo
