The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is trying to identify two suspects who burglarized Mr. Quick's Country Store Thursday morning in Eltopia.

— Thieves broke into a Franklin County store for the second time in weeks.

Employees of Qwiks Country Store in Eltopia came to work about 5 a.m. Thursday and found the store had been broken into, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

Two suspects wearing hooded sweatshirts and gloves can be seen on surveillance footage taking items from the store. Investigators believe the suspects forced their way into the store.

The suspects drove a white pickup stolen out of Richland to the store, the sheriff’s office said.

A similar vehicle was used in a December break-in at the store on Glade Road North.

On Dec. 20, two suspects used a white pickup stolen out of Othello to ram through the doors of the store, the sheriff’s office said. The suspects tried to pull an ATM out. Nothing was taken during the break-in.

Police are investigating if the break-ins are connected. No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at 509-545-3501.
