Air stagnation expected in Tri-Cities

January 1, 2014

— Air quality in the Tri-Cities may be lower than normal through Friday afternoon.

Limited air movement in the Tri-Cities may cause pollution to increase, according to the National Weather Service’s air stagnation advisory.

However, a cold front will move into the area on Friday morning and improve conditions by Friday afternoon, according to the advisory.
