Americans fall 4-1 to Portland Winterhawks

Adam De Champlain scored Portland’s first goal of the game and assisted on the Winterhawks’ final goal in a 4-1 Western Hockey League win over Tri-City on Saturday at Memorial Coliseum.

The Winterhawks led 1-0 after one period and scored three more goals in the second to take a 4-0 lead.

Brian Williams scored the Ams’ only goal in the third period, on the power play off assists by Phil Tot and Marcus Messier.
