Library changes magazine loan period

Mid-Columbia Libraries patrons will only be able to check out magazines for a week at time beginning Jan. 1.

The library district allows magazines to be checked out for up to three weeks at a time. Library officials are reducing the checkout time so others can have more timely access to the periodicals, a release said.

Patrons are also encouraged to access magazines on their e-readers through the Zinio service. Magazines can be accessed at
