Grape growers to meet Feb 5-7

By the Herald staffDecember 25, 2013

The Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers 2014 Convention is Feb. 5-7 at Kennewick's Three Rivers Convention Center.

The convention, themed "Fundamentally Important," offers education for Northwest wine grape growers, viticultural staff, wineries, enologists, tasting room staff and marketers.

This year's grand tasting on Feb. 5 will focus on the "many faces of Washington Chardonnay." Leading Washington Chardonnay makers and grape growers, Napa-based Lars Ryssdal, Ackerman Family Vineyards general manager, and David Ramey, Ramey Wine Cellars of Healdsburg, will discuss the varied Chardonnay styles in Washington, potential changes in practice and sales and marketing.
