Letter: Do as I say, not as I do

December 25, 2013

The BP oil company was fined $100 million for killing and harming migratory birds during the 2010 Gulf oil spill. And PacifiCorp, which operates coal plants in Wyoming, paid more than $10.5 million in 2009 for electrocuting 232 eagles along power lines and at its substations.

Recently, the Obama administration's cornerstone green energy platform -- wind turbines -- finally get some consequences with a healthy fine for killing birds.

So what does the Obama administration do? It exempts companies operating wind farms for 30 years from associated fines. Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid love exemptions, don't they? Obama will champion any cause to promote his ideology.
