Commercial drive tests to end at 3 Oregon offices

Tri-City HeraldDecember 20, 2013

Commercial driver tests will no longer be offered in Hermiston and two other Oregon offices beginning in January, according to a release from the Oregon Department of Transportation.

The Driver and Motor Vehicle Services Division is no longer scheduling drive test appointments for commercial driver licenses for dates after Dec. 31 at its offices in Hermiston, Albany and Ontario, the release said.

Private third-party testers are available in Eastern Oregon and the Willamette Valley, as well as other parts of the state.

Find a list of private drive testers in the commercial driver licensing section at OregonDMV.com or by calling your local DMV phone number or 503-945-5000.

For all customers, DMV suggests that you first check OregonDMV.com before visiting any field office in person, especially in winter weather conditions. Customers can complete some DMV business online or find out how to make their visit as efficient as possible, the release said.
