DOE senior executives given promotions

By The Tri-City HeraldDecember 19, 2013

Jim Owendoff has been promoted to acting principal deputy assistant secretary for the Department of Energy's Office of Environmental Management.

Owendoff, a senior policy adviser for environmental management, will replace Tracy Mustin, who is retiring, and will oversee Hanford and other DOE environmental management sites.

Jack Craig has been named associate principal deputy assistant secretary, replacing Alice Williams, who is retiring. Craig is the director of the Office of Environmental Management's Consolidated Business Center.

Both are proven DOE senior executives with the technical and management acumen needed to help lead DOE's environmental management program, said Dave Huizenga, Office of Environmental Management senior adviser, in a memo to DOE staff.
