Miguel Angel Martinez, 21, is wanted in connection with a shooting that left a 20-year-old man dead.

— An arrest warrant has been issued for a 21-year-old Grandview man suspected of killing a Mabton man at a party in Yakima County.

Authorities say Miguel Angel Martinez shot and killed Carmen Johnson, 20, during a fight at the party. Another man, who was treated for non life-threatening injuries at Sunnyside Community Hospital, was also shot.

Hundreds of people were at the party early Sunday morning on Sand Hill Road when the fight broke out, according to the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office. Multiple shots were fired and Johnson was found dead at the scene.

Authorities did not release what started the fight.

Martinez is wanted for second-degree murder, the sheriff’s office said. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on Martinez’s whereabouts is asked to call the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office at 509-574-2500.
