Students can apply for health care scholarships

December 16, 2013

The Trios Foundation is accepting scholarship applications, and the deadline is Dec. 31.

Up to $6,000 will be awarded to as many as four Tri-City students who are pursuing or continuing health care-related education in the 2014-15 academic year, a Trios news release said.

The scholarship criteria include a demonstrated financial need, a clear focus on pursuing a career in health care, community involvement and at least a 3.0 grade-point average, the release said.

A selection committee will make the picks and provide notification before the formal announcement at the Trios Foundation's annual breakfast in February, the release said.

The application is available at under the scholarship tab, at the Trios Foundation office at 809 S. Auburn St., Kennewick, and at Tri-City high schools and colleges. For more information, call 586-5776.
