Letter: One for the ages

December 14, 2013 

The phrase, "He now belongs to the ages," used by President Obama as he eulogized Nelson Mandela was not created by Obama. He plagiarized Edwin Stanton, then-Secretary of War who uttered that very famous and almost sacred phrase as he stood beside President Lincoln's body. President Obama should have given credit to Stanton.
