One woman was injured in a two car collision in Richland at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, the Washington State Patrol said.

Roberta J. Sanders, 66, of Kennewick was driving her 2002 Nissan Altima on Terminal Drive making a left turn onto Highway 224 when she failed to yield to oncoming traffic, the state patrol said.

She struck a 2006 Dodge pickup being driven west on the highway by Brian O. Nooy, 29, of Pendleton.

Sanders was taken to Trios Medical Center in Kennewick by a private vehicle. Wednesday evening she remained in good condition, said hospital nursing staff.

Sanders' vehicle was towed from the scene. Nooy, who was not injured, was able to drive his pickup away from the scene.

Sanders was charged for failure to yield, the state patrol said.
