Port of Pasco awards airport parking contract

By The Tri-City HeraldDecember 11, 2013

Port of Pasco commissioners unanimously awarded a contract to Republic Parking System to operate parking at the Tri-Cities Airport for the next five years.

Republic Parking System, which is the port's parking lot operator, offered the best revenue stream for the port, said Randy Hayden, the port's deputy executive director.

That revenue is an important source of revenue for the planned expansion of the airport terminal, Hayden said.

Port officials plan to begin construction on a $43.5 million project meant to double the size of the Pasco terminal next year.
