Russell Del Gesso of Kennewick assembles a synthetic skating rink Tuesday at Centennial Flag Plaza, at the corner of Benton Street and Kennewick Avenue in downtown Kennewick. Public ice skating will be offered in downtown Kennewick with sessions running from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and again Dec. 20-21. Skating is free. Skate rentals are $4. Volunteer assistance is needed with monitoring, skate rental and other various jobs.
