Letter: Money talks

December 9, 2013

It was interesting to see in the Nov. 22 Tri-City Herald that our state Attorney General Bob Ferguson has had to amend the action filed against the Grocery Manufacturers Association concerning the violation of our state's campaign finance laws. It seems the attorney general discovered and additional $3.4 million in contribution to defeat Initiative 522.

I wondered how they were able to pay for all those televised reminders of how matchless Monsanto and company were for the good citizens of Washington. Money talks. A lot.
