Two Tri-City men were injured Tuesday morning when a car slid off an icy road south of Kennewick and flipped in a ditch.

The car flipped on East Locus Grove Road around 8 a.m. and trapped at least one person, officials on scene said.

Ezequiel Pantoja, 29, and Jose Rodriguez, 24, were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. It’s unclear who was driving the car.

The car was going too fast for the icy conditions, said Lt. Chuck Jones, with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.
