Arrests target Franklin County theft ring

— Franklin County authorities say they have arrested four suspects involved in a theft ring that targeted farms and houses in Basin City.

The suspects allegedly robbed houses and stole industrial sized batteries from large vehicles, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators arrested Jaime Farfan, 18, Abel Perez, 19, Eusturgio Perez Saucedo, 44, and Bolivar Galvan-Ambriz, 25. All the suspects are from Basin City.

More than 25 batteries and items stolen from the houses were found during the investigation, the sheriff’s office said.

There were 10 reports of break-ins and 13 reports of stolen batteries.
