Donna and Phillip Brothers Sr.

Donna and Phillip Brothers Sr. of Richland celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family trip to Leavenworth on Oct. 18.

They were married October 18, 1963, at the Richland Assembly (now Life Church) in Richland.

They have lived in the Mid-Columbia since 1954, Donna coming from Kansas City, Mo., and Phil from Pennsylvania.

Donna worked as a licensed practical nurse at Kadlec Hospital from 1961-81. She then worked for the Richland School District as an educational assistant until she retired in 2002.

She was very active in her church in the Benevolence Department at Richland Assembly, and later at Life Church.

Phil worked for Kadlec Hospital in the maintenance department in the early 1970s, then he worked for Westinghouse and Boeing as an electronics technician until his retirement in 1996 from Boeing.

Phil was very active in Richland Assembly, and later Life Church, as a board member and volunteered for many years in the maintenance department.

They have two children, Joani (Mike) Teixeira of Richland; and Phillip Brothers Jr. of Bend, Ore.

They have two grandchildren.
