Fast Focus: 'How would you brand the Tri-Cities?' No place like home

My brand of first choice is "Home."

I've lived here since 1951 and I have grown to love it. My children were born here as well as numerous grandchildren, and my husband is buried in Richland. Eventually, my ashes will be scattered across a vineyard and in the waters of the majestic Columbia. I'll never leave.

My brand of second choice is "Provincial and Parochial." It is difficult to comprehend that in all these years a region of 250,000 people has not found a way to pull together to create that essential structure of a civilized community, a quality performing arts theater.

If you plan it, I'll support it, and so will many others, by starting an endowment fund and donating to the 500 Club.
