Cold, dry weather hits Mid-Columbia residents

Tri-City HeraldNovember 23, 2013

Mid-Columbia residents can continue to expect cold but dry weather for the next several days.

Lows in the mid-teens were expected Sunday. Several days of highs in the high 30s or low 40s, and lows near 20 degrees are expected in the Tri-Cities, according to the National Weather Service Pendleton office.

Patches of freezing fog are possible, giving way to sunny skies.

"We're kind of stuck in a pattern here with cold air at the surface and warm air aloft," weather service meteorologist Joe Solomon said.

The area has no threat of precipitation through Thanksgiving Day, he said.

A chance exists for the pattern to change late in the week, if current weather models hold.
