By The Tri-City HeraldNovember 21, 2013

The Salvation Army is holding a free community Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day at its Richland location, 1219 Thayer Drive.

More than 170 hot meals were served at the dinner last year, and "this year we are expecting an increase of senior citizens and families in need coming to this event," a Salvation Army news release said.
