Letter: Studies skills class continues to influence student 30 years later

November 21, 2013

Seeing the obituary of Pam Castleberry brought back a memory. About 30 years ago, our grandson Charlie visited us for a few weeks. I learned that he had almost failed seventh grade. This surprised me since he was a bright child.

I encouraged him to stay a few more weeks so he could attend the studies skills class in summer school. This class was taught by Pam Castleberry. The following school year Charlie was on the honor roll. He is now a public school teacher.
