Kennewick's Taimani leads NIC past CBC women

Kennewick High graduate Panisesi Taimani scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead North Idaho College to a 83-66 nonleague victory Tuesday against Columbia Basin in Pasco.

Taimani was 8-of-15 from the field in her 26 minutes of action. Kiona-Benton graduate Bailey Schroeder added seven points and four rebounds for the Cardinals in the victory.

Prosser grad Sydney Mercer had 15 points in her CBC debut, coming off the bench to add five rebounds. Kamiakin graduate Courtney Nelson had 10 points and five boards in her collegiate debut as well.
