Bride jailed after biting groom in Kennewick

TRI-CITY HERALD STAFFNovember 18, 2013

A Richland couple's wedding night did not have a storybook ending after the bride was taken to jail after getting drunk and biting the groom.

The couple got into an argument Saturday night at the Red Lion Hotel in Kennewick following the ceremony, said Kennewick police Sgt. Ken Lattin. Police found that the 40-year-old bride was the aggressor in the fight.

The woman allegedly bit her 31-year-old husband, Lattin said.

But the husband stood by his new wife and refused to cooperate with officers, didn't give a statement or allow them to take pictures of the bite mark, Lattin said.

The bride was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of domestic violence assault.
