Rash of burglaries in Kennewick; no arrests made

Herald staff writerNovember 18, 2013

— Police say there was an unusual number of break-ins in Kennewick over the weekend.

There were at least nine burglaries between Friday and Sunday, said Sgt. Ken Lattin.

Five burglaries were reported at businesses and another four happened at houses or storage units.

Police are not sure if the burglaries are connected.

Skimpy's Coffee, Pavement Surface Control and the Kennewick Eagles Club were a few of the businesses targeted, Lattin said.

Windows were broken at two houses on West Second Avenue and South Palouse Street. Items including a TV, a computer, jewelry and an iPod were taken.

There is surveillance video of two suspects at the Eagles Club and footage of a male suspect at a business on the 2400 block of West Kennewick Avenue, Lattin said.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to contact Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers confidentially at 586-8477, 800-222-8477 or go to www.tricitiescrimestoppers.com.
