Toastmasters continues public speaking series this week

TRI-CITY HERALD STAFFNovember 17, 2013

The Richland Desert Wind Toastmasters invites the public to any upcoming sessions of its 10-week "Better Speaker" series. The sessions are free of cost and open to all who wish to attend.

The series is designed to improve communication skills. Each week, a Toastermasters member will give a presentation about topics such controlling fear, organizing speech and impromptu speaking.

The next session is titled, "Concluding Your Speech," and will address different techniques to create vivid, lasting impressions with an audience.

Following the presentation will be a Toastmasters meeting, which will include an additional speech, impromptu speeches and evaluations.

The session will be from 12:05 to 1 p.m. Thursday in the Richland Planning and Development Center at 840 Northgate Drive, Room 104.
