Fast Focus 'What are your ideas for access to the Hanford site?' Original owners

November 17, 2013

Return the land to the owners or heirs of owners who were forced to give up their homes and farms.

Sell off the rest by auction and apply the money to the national debt or use some of it to reconstruct the site infrastructure. Those removed were likely paid the value of desolate desert land, nothing like the current value of these properties. The town of Hanford and Benton County, given a chance, would provide better management than any federal or state bureaucracy. Produce property and sales tax vs. add cost to tax payers.
